I have a Wordpress plugin called VFB Pro (Visual Forms Builder). It allows me to create custom forms for email sign ups etc. The plugin has an add-on called 'Notifications' which includes a mailchimp integration which uses the mailchimp API. This enables me to connect a form on my website so data entered in the form gets added to the mailchimp list. Unfortunately the mailchimp integration is very basic and poorly designed. I need a freelancer to fix two simple but crucial problems. 1. The plugin only supports the five default mailchimp columns/merge tags (First Name, Last Name, Company, Phone and Email). There is currently no support for custom columns/merge tags. I need this to be changed so that the plugin dynamically lists configuration options for all the fields in the selected mailchimp list. 2. This is the really crucial one. At the moment, the plugin will populate an entry into the mailchimp list **but only if it is a new email address**. If I try to re-sumbit the same email address with new/additional information, the changed information does not get updated in mailchimp. I need this fixing so that if a customer submits a form with the same email address, any changes to the other fields get updated to their entry in the mailchimp list.

The notification integration is actually for mail-chimp list signup, as a result only unique emails are getting registered and not updating older one. I can add the additional feature so that you can assign all of the columns again specific field. Also will make sure if there's an existing record, it gets updated on the second submission. Thanks.

Hey there, I've had this exact same issue with Mailchimp plugins in the past when using WordPress. I recently solved a similar issue for an internal web project where I work and could implement a similar solution to help solve your problem. One concern I have is that by modifying the plugin directly, you wouldn't be able to update that plugin without risking undoing the modifications done to the plugin. An alternate solution could be creating a brand new plugin that hooks into the existing plugin, that way you're able to install security updates without the risk of breaking it.
