Website button "Submit Private Offer" is 50% functioning. The basic code is written-- yes, it allows one user to send another user a (masked email) message. In the message you can tell someone you have something to sell, the price of this item/service, delivery date, and more details. Click "submit offer" and the person gets an email.
Problems to fix:
**a. Cut and paste problems:
1) the form does not add a auto-calculate function. Everytime someone makes an offer, the form should calculate our commission properly. We have an example code on an earlier version of the website so all you need to do is copy and paste it to the new website.
2) the form does not have "attach file" capability. We also have example code from earlier version of website.
b. Functions that are broken:
1. User should not be able to send private offers to themselves.
2. When you go to MyAccount>> Private Messages or >> Private Offers, the sent and received private offers do not show up in the right place. They should only go to private offers mailbox. There is another function "Contact User" that is working properly, and those go into Private Messages.
3. The Private Offer inbox and sent areas do not show all the details of these private offers.
4. When you click "Approve Proposal" it sends you to another page, which is similar to this: "/?p_action=private_proposal&pid=606" . It is missing the private offer's details again, and the "attach files" code you saw earlier needs cut and paste.
5. On this page 2, you click "Publish Buying Request" -- it should actually say "Private Offer to [user name of the person you are 'replying' your counteroffer to.
6. On this page 2, when you click "Publish Buying Request" it sends you to a third page, and who knows where it stores the proposal?
7. I don't know where the proposal goes after that link because the website sends each user a mail in their gmail, hotmail, etc account. But the links they send are broken.
Summary:
2 cut and paste jobs
6 functions to fix for the website-- the code is there but it is incomplete.
1 function to fix for the emails that are sent to a user's gmail/hotmail/etc account.
