I think you problem can be solved easily with urlencode() when outputting the href urls, and an urldecode() when getting back the parameters from $_GET. If you just replace the characters then how will you find the file on the server when it gets selected? I see someone already modified the script, I guess without luck.

Hi Ixir, the php class can easily be modified to output html friendly characters. I tested this and the js file also causes an error with the special characters that I tested that I have been able to correct too. Can you send me an example of text that you are having an issue with so that I can test them too? Regards, Pieter
