DATA MINING ON SOCIAL NEWORK TO BUILD A PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE - open to bidding

How can you tap into the wealth of social web data to discover who’s making connections with whom, what they’re talking about, and where they’re located? This area is still young and evolving, there has not yet emerged a widely accepted research framework that offers holistic view about the major research question methodologies, techniques and applications of network mining techniques. The goal of this special issue is to move one step forward in the area of network mining by reviewing and summarizing research question from existing research, providing examples of new techniques and application and illuminating the future research direction. In our society today, social media is the main communication channels used by the culprits to plan and execute most of the unaccepted acts like criminal activities. By finding new techniques and methodologies to help efficient data mining from the social media sites, we could avert most of these unlawful activities before they take place. The goal of this project is basically to try to do something like the NSA does to gather information from unsuspecting social networking users and build psychological profiles. However, we’ll do it on a smaller scale and utilize legal means.
