Create a recent post widget plugin

I would like to create a widget with the following requirements : - I will only display one post a time but will use the same widget to display different post type on the same page - Need to choose custom post types (and list only custom post_types with '_builtin' => false) - Option to select between latest post and latest modified post (maybe with orderby) - Choice to display or not the excerpt - Option to modify the excerpt length - Option to display date - Option to display modified date (if both are selected then it should display the date) - Option to display the tags - Option to add the hierarchy of the post (breadcrumb) - I have 6 different post_type and they all need to display a different icon before the post title (to identify the post type), so I need an option for that (using <i class="icon-1"></i>, <i class="icon-2"></i>...)
