Build a Website

I need a bunch of Apache rulesets (all in various .htaccess files) rewritten to work in nginx server configuration files. I have a Solaris server running several virtual hosts on Apache. I'm transitioning to an OS X server which will run the same virtual hosts on nginx. It has a very bare-bones virtual server configuration right now, and I hope I can migrate all the rules into the server configuration. I'd like you to take the rules in these files and rewrite them cleanly in an organised way, with comments. I'd also like for you to be available as I implement them and check that they work! I also have some minor configuration questions you'd have to help me with: 1. Is there a way to get mod_speling-like functionality on nginx? So if a user tries to load [login to view URL], it redirects to [login to view URL] If so, I want this, and for all the rules to work with it. 2. I don't use subdomains except [login to view URL], which simply shows what's in [login to view URL] How do I set this up, is it just another <server> or <location> or something? 3. I want to use SSL, can you tell me what needs to be done inside nginx to make that work? (if this is a huge ask that makes this job giant, forget it, I think it's relatively simple but I might need some hand-holding to do it.) Attached are 4 "major" htaccess files which are the big ones that used to sit at the root of each server's htdocs directory. I've also supplied 7 minor ones, which each do a tiny thing in a specific directory. Finally, I've supplied my nginx virtual server configuration so you can integrate everything in there. You should look over the files attached to get an idea of the job and knowledge required. I'd guess that almost all of it is simple stuff for someone who knows nginx syntax, plus about 5 more-complex mod_rewrite jobs that rely on regex that might be easy and might be hard.
