Hello.
I am in need of a simple Shipping Request System...
The system should run as a stand-alone system under a subdomain on my website.
I have mySQL database and php on the server...
The purpose of the system is to allow customers to request shipping of packages.
This is what is needed in the basic system, but I might want to expand it later with more features etc.
The customers should be able to enter the following:
Sender (Business Name, Name, Address, City, Zipcode, Country, Phone number, e-mail address)
Receiver (Business Name, Name, Address, City, Zipcode, Country, Phone number, e-mail address)
Dimensions (Lenght, Height, Width)
Weight
Value
Preferred Pick-up date
It would be great if the customer could get a login to the system and use the following features:
-Add/Update customer details (address etc.)
-Chose preferred sender information (Sender information which will be default when entering a shipment request in the system)
-Favourite receivers - Customer should be able to add favourite receivers to the system under the customers login and instead of typing receiver information customer should be able to chose a favourite receiver from a list but ALSO should be able to enter information which is not from favorites list!
-See history of earlier requested shipping
Every added shipment request should get an unique ID number to be used as reference when talking to the customer.
If possible I would very much like an admin login to the system as well.
Admin should be able to do the following:
-Add tracking number to a shipment request submitted by the customer, so that the customer after login to the system can go to history of shipping requests and see tracking number for each ID. (customer can see this)
-Admin should be able to add internal admin notes to each ID. (customer can not see this)
-Admin should be able to tick off via tickboxes which items has been invoiced. (customer can see this)
BACKUP possibility of data in the system is also very much appreciated.
