Video Advertising Platform

I need a program written for an academic experiment we are doing with online video advertising. This program will need to display an online video with video advertisements that appear at certain increments throughout the video. I need a video/advertising platform that operates similarly to Hulu. This should be preferable hosted online but I would consider a mobile platform written for an android phone.

I need a program that will play a video for the participants in the study. I need to be able to pick whichever video I need at the start of the study as I may use different videos. When the advertising break comes up, I will need there to be two key elements to the advertising which I call user control and two way communication.

With User control, the participant should be able to pick one of three ads to watch (similar to Hulu . They also need to be given the option to switch to another advertisement if they do not like the ad that is playing. (“Is this ad relevant to you?”). The top of the ad should have the option to switch advertisements.

With Two-way communication, the participants will need to be able to answer a question about the ad by clicking within the ad once the ad is done playing. Also, when the next ad is played, this ad will need to depend on the response to the previous question answered at the end of the previous ad. All the data from the experiment will need to be recorded in an Excel spreadsheet.

Additionally, I need to be able to use one or the other, or both. For example, in some conditions of the experiment, I will be using User control only. In another condition I will be using two way communications only. In another instance I will be using both User control and two way communication. So I need the option to configure this before starting the experiment.

Data to be collected:

• The participant’s response to the question…

• Which ad was played next?

• (If possible) Did the participant change windows or tabs during the show and if so at what time?

Once the video is completed, there will be a survey that needs to completed with about 50 total questions. All the answers need to be recorded in the same spreadsheet. Once again, this is for an online academic research study. I am not going to use this platform for anything once I am done with this study. The site where I host the platform will only be live for less than a week.

When determining the amount of your bid, include the time to get this set up on a website once all the final changes are approved by myself. I do have some programming and web design in my background but not a lot so I might need some help to get everything up and running. Additionally, I may choose to add or remove an element or two of the above description so take that into account for your bid as well.
