**Company Overview **Start up company revolutionizing the indie film and music industry. **Job Description **We are looking for a senior engineer to join our core team. A unique opportunity to be an early part of a startup and work with an experienced team of online media professionals building cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading web applications for the film and music industry. Build out dynamic, high-volume web applications using Java and an Agile development methodology. Working with extremely large datasets. Integrate with various third party systems, and build out portable APIs that thousands of other companies can build applications on top of. **Responsibilities **? Drive cloud performance & scalability optimization ? Proactively define and expose metrics that can improve our services' performance, scalability, and availability ? As a member of this team, you will also work on parts of our core software ? Define and evangelize best-practices for Cloud usage ? Piracy prevention and integration ? Maintaining Database infrastructure ? Maintaining and integrating e-commerce components **Requirements **? Significant background in Java and Enterprise Java architecture, emphasizing strong design patterns ? Demonstrated experience with high-scalability, cross-platform, web-based products ? Experience with Flex/Flash ? Adobe DRM ? Web tools and standards such as JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, etc. ? Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, XML, HTML, JavaScript ? Strong communication and collaboration skills - working with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams ? Ability to work independently to meet mutually established timelines and quality standards ? Experienced with scaling / performance tuning of highly interactive web applications (understands both client and server ramifications) ? Excellent debugging and testing skills
