I would like you to finish up a translation engine I began to write. Basically what it does is to allow people to enter translations in a wiki-style manner and let a language administrator advocate the new translations. Persons will always see OR the latest approved translation OR their own translation (whichever is more late). Persons should log on to translate. Persons would be able to add languages (and all the language info) in an easy way. Language admins should be able to quickly accept sentences. What has been nearly finished up is the creation of a new language. I can provide you with the old translation engine I build way back so you can understand the ideas behind it and also can use some of the functions. I am rather skilled in PHP as well, so you can ask questions during the project on msn. What I remember (last change to this personal project has been done like 4 months ago) is that what you need to do is: - add an administrative backend for language administrators and for the main administrator to do user management: * basically (un)block users: in the old engine there was an auto-block feature that when you entered something wrong and it got deleted by an admin, you are automatically blocked from entering anything * additionally the main admin should be able to add/remove users and assign other main admins This can be achieved by the following statusses: 'user', 'admin', 'god', 'gagged' - add an interface where logged in users can change the language string (multi-edit/single line edit/search). Not logged in users can see everything, but when clicking the buttons, they should be receiving a log in form (preferably without moving away from the webpage: Ajax). Also after a few bad logins in a certain timeframe, they should be denied access for like 5 minutes or so. A nice CSS would be truly appreciated. Nice fades and smooth operation (Prototype, scriptacolous, ...) will be highly appreciated!
