Hello, Greetings of the day. My name is Manish Malhotra. I have more than 2.5 years of experience as a Senior Patent Researcher. I am highly skilled in Product Clearance Search, i.e., Finding those patents which can be potential threats to your product in near future. Following is my proposed strategy for performing Product Clearance Check (i.e., FTO): ---------------------------------- Step 1: Reading and understanding Product /Process/technical information provided by the client. Step 2: Making relevant key features based on product /process information. Extracting relevant IPC and US classes. Step 3: Defining Jurisdiction for Patent Search Step 4: Searching in different Patent Databases like EPO, WIPO, USPTO, Google Patents, Orbit (Paid) etc. using different key words and their synonyms. Following Searches are also performed such as: Inventor Based Search Assignee Based Search US Class Based Search IPC Class Based Search and so on. Step 5: Shortlisting Relevant Patents (Published or Granted) based on Key features. Focus of the search would be on the dependent and independent claims of the patent. Step 6: Mapping each relevant patent with the key features of the product, for better understanding. Supplementary patents with less key features are also provided.
