Amazon AWS EC2, MYSQL & Apache Expert Required

Hello. This is not a canned response. I've been doing AWS deployments during the last 8 years, and I have almost 20 years of Linux and FOSS experience. I'm very comfortable with MySQL and Apache(BTW, you should be using 2.4+ with event MPM. If you're not, that's my free advice ;). So, the performance got worse right after you moved from MySQL running on an EC2 instance to RDS? Any other change you did in between? What EC2 instance type was used and what RDS instance are you using now? Did you do any configuration on RDS MySQL instance or you're using default settings? I'm sure I'll help you.
