I need a good developer to work on a couple of mobile device projects. We have a current application targeting iPad devices written with Intel XDK (HTML5/Cordova) that will need some further functionality adding. I also have a new application needed to work alongside this (can re-use some code such as login and get items). I would like this developed also with Intel XDK or as a HTML/ Cordova project. I plan to use this to scan passport of a person and get the data back into our web service. We will license the Android library that manages the scanning of passport and decodes the data, this module which will need putting into a cordova plugin that can be used. Their demo app is here: [login to view URL] If all goes well we will also develop a iOS equivalent. I am looking for some good experience with HTML5/JS/Cordova on both Android and iOS. Ideally you will know Intel XDK but i believe this is ok as long as you know building with Cordova. You will be required to use Hubstaff for timesheets. I am based in UK. Communication should be through Skype chat, screen share and very occasional skype call if needed.

Hi. I regularly work with Cordova based development, both on my job and some part time occasional projects. I am quite at home (and also personally interested) with hybrid development through Cordova/Phonegap. For the new app, I can suggest using basic Cordova without the Xdk overhead, unless you really want to use the UI controls and the lighter jquery(ish ) library that it uses. I believe making the Cordova plugin for the passport scanner is good, also to provide a base if same needs to be done for iOS in future. Could you please tell what is the target minimum android version for this?
