Manage an Android Activity cycle....

Im building a server based wallpaper app.. that will retrieve wallpapers from server and show to users... My mainActivity is a navigation drawer activity... that have using fragments to show wallpapers & is being setup with help of tablayout & viewpager. Im listing the problems that need to fix. 1)Handling activity lifecycle so that during any screen rotation or app switching my app should hold & retain the viewpager / tab position along with the fragment (recyclerview position).. coz right now whats happening is that whenever above mentioned conditions occurs my app sets me at 1st tab with 1st postion in recyclerview.. 2) In addition to this, any wallpaper in recyclerview inside fragment tab when clicked will send user to another activity so when he returns backs it should be to the same wallpaper... without causing the (problem 1st) I have shared a demo screen shot of my app... that shows how i setup my ui
