"Final Fix" Dear David I hope you are well. Me and my team have years of experience with developing bespoke Android applications. Your problem is understandably frustrating. While there is no official incompatibility between Android P and Sqllite, there are quite a number of differences in the way some of the libraries are called. We have experienced this issue ourselves and have spent a lot of time on this initially. The error message is misleading "no such table exist" which seem to indicate database problems. This is not exactly a bug with Android P but the different way that you need to interface with the DB (open, close connections, calling libraries, etc...)
