This is an Android Mobile Application (AMA) in Java. There are several stages of continuous work for this App. Each stage is a project about 1-2 weeks long. This project is about Stage 2 and the description starts from p.9 of the attached document. We plan to complete this Stage 2 project in one week.
In this stage, we will enhance the Stage 1 product and build the Blog function on top of Stage 1. The complete source code (in Java) of Stage 1 is available. Details follow:
1. When tapping on the Blog icon at the bottom of Screen-1, it will open up the Project Task screen, i.e., Screen-2.
2. The main of Screen-2 is a list of task folders in the selected project. AMA calls a Webservice getProjectTasks() to get the list of tasks in JSON. See Screen-2 (p.10) for more details.
3. Note that when the list of tasks is first displayed, it is only displaying the top level tasks (a task may have sub-tasks underneath it). When tapping on the “+” sign on the left of a task name, it will open the next level of task folders. See Screen-2 (p.10) for more details.
4. When clicking on the project name on top of Screen-2, it will open up a list of projects available for this user to choose from. AMA App calls a Webservice getProjects() to get the list of projects in JSON. See Screen-3 (p.11) for more details.
5. Show a List of Blog. Each task folder contains 0 or more blog postings. On Screen-2, the number on the right of the task name denotes the number of blogs in that folder. Tapping on the task name and it will go to the corresponding blog page. See Screen-4 (p.12) for the blog listing page.
6. If the blog number is 0 on a task (there is no blog in that task), tapping on the arrow or task name will open up the blog page with no blog, but it display a message,
“No blog on this task. Click to post a new blog >>” – clicking this will open Screen-6 (p.14) for adding blog.
7. Open and View Blog Text. On Screen-4, the list of blogs, tapping on a blog will open the actual blog content. Call Webservice getBlog(blogID) to get the content of the blog. See Screen-5 (p.13) for more details.
8. Post and Submit Blog. On Screen-4, click on the New Post Button on the top bar will allow the user to write and submit a text blog into a task folder. See Screen-6 (p.14) for more details.
9. Add Comment to a Blog. User may comment on a blog. On Screen-5 while reading the blog content, a user may tap the “+New” link next to the Comment Section to post a comment on the blog. See Screen-7 (p.15) for more details.
