If you don't have advanced [login to view URL] experience both installation and mail merg automation, please don't even think about bidding on this project. Thank you!

Phase 1

I have an existing LAMP server I'll call MyTrust. The workstation you will be working on will connect to the MySQL database on the external LAMP server.

I purchased a new desktop workstation that needs a completed SuSE LINUX install (I held the disks in and got the system up and running, but you will:

- need to ensure that firewall security is strong on the workstation

- install Java on the workstation

- install [login to view URL] on the workstation

- install MySQL connectivity from the workstation to the MyTrust server

- install two printer drivers

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phase 2

Create Three Documents:

Initial Document - on the MyTrust server

Using the Save Trigger event in the server based MySQL database, script a simple 5 - 10 field mail merge example inside of [login to view URL] and print with PDF, then attach the file to an email and send it to client email address from database record.

Secondary Document

On the newly installed workstation,

1) create two documents and send to predefined printer

2) create a folder based on the serial number of the document

3) both documents should be saved in the newly created folder

Human intervention to start print jobs on the workstation is expected.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Future developments in Phase 3 but not yet within the scope of this project:

Multiple workstations will be set up with multiple printers per workstation. We expect over 10,000 documents at about 120 pages each to be processed.

Again, unless you have extensive Java, [login to view URL] and mail merge experience, please do not bid on this project. You will do both yourself, and us a favor. Thank you.

Clarification: The new workstation runs SuSE LINUX, the server runs cPanel and is located at LiquidWeb.

Further elucidation to Phase 2

There documents are to be created:

1) Initial docs
2) T&C docs
3) Additional Forms

1) client enters an order on our existing website and a record is created in the MySQL environment. Many fields... 6 name/address clusters, at least 6 additional names and other information. Guessing maybe 200 fields. Each name/address cluster has about 12 fields, etc.

2) once the above record is saved in the web server based MySQL database, a triggered event is generated where an email with an attached 7 page Initial docs PDF file is generated. All documents are already being used in an MS-Word mail merge application manually.

3) the Initial docs PDF file should be attached to the email and sent to the new client without human intervention.

Up to now, I was expecting that this should happen on the LAMP server, however better solutions can be discussed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We currently have an administrator who painstakenly enters all data manually again, then generates a 120 page document consisting of the T & C doc and the Additional Forms Doc, prints it, and puts it into a leather binder before sending it out to clients. The Additional Forms Doc, as an RTF or MS-Word doc file and is burned to a CD with about 60 pages or half of the 120 pages that were also printed in hard copy.

Our goal is to have the SuSE LINUX box access datasets directly on the MyTrust LAMP server and create both the Initial T&C doc, then the Additional Forms doc as mail merge documents for printing of the hard copy and generation of two separate PDF files.

All 120 pages of the mail merge document must be printed in hard copy for the binder to be sent to client via FedEx. FedEx integration would be a nice touch.

This print out of the full 120 page document must be done on the new SuSE workstation. Printing is manual, and we understand that the workstation and printers must be manned during production phase just because of the sheer volume of printed pages.

I will also require daily synchronization of the server data to the local database for DVD based backups.
