In general these sorts of problems typically are: 1) bad credentials 2) network connectivity problems 3) permissions on the database side 4) misconfiguration of the software To resolve, I would need access to the system or at a minimum details from the any error messages along with a description of the system. Access to the system is probably the quickest resolution method and back and forth with error messages would probably just take a little longer because of communication delays for instruction passing and results. As far as my qualifications - in my day job I work on Java systems that use Spring on a daily basis. My experience with Spring dates back atleast a decade. I've worked with Hibernate extensively also - although I actually tend to prefer iBatis. I have a good bit of experience with MySQL, Oracle and SQLite. I've worked occasionally with other databases also. I have experience working a variety of platforms on both internal and cloud systems using Linux and Windows operating systems. This is my 1st bid and attempt at doing something like this (freelancing), so I'll be curious how the process works.
