Java applet is loaded from webserver and provided with few parameters, the most important one is the filename. Applet has few buttons "Capture" "Cut" "Reset" "Upload" "Close", scaling 1:x drop-down box and the main window with scrollbars. When user presses Capture, screenshot is taken, scaled to 1:x and shown in applet window. User can select with a mouse some rectangular area on the screenshot image. When user presses Cut, the window is redrawn with that area only. If user presses Upload, that area image is uploaded to the webserver as [url removed, login to view] file. If security settings don't allow screen capture, print message to user how to allow that.
