Hi I have 12 years experience in the medical device industry, as a quality systems engineer. I am very knowledgeable on the ISO9001 requirements and am a certified lead auditor for ISO13485:2016. Just completed and passed my IRCA ISO 9001:2015 training. To be honest, a job in quality found me in 2002 by coincidence. I was offered a role as the QA & Research and Development Manager in local Oil & Gas contractor who had a global presence. My key task, was to get the company to be ISO certified which was accomplished working closely with our certification DNV within a year. I took up Mechanical engineering because this field, excites me and during that time there were quite a number of engineering job opportunities available locally as the economy was booming. As I became a matured engineering student I became fascinated with Engineering Design so much so that during my final semester at university, my lecturer commented that I was spending too much time on my final year project which was to Design of a paraplegic tricycle. I was recruited as an experience hire in 2006 and was seconded to Shell Internal Audit for 3 years doing Project Control Audits, doing audits globally. This job gave me great exposure from different Shell’s Operating Units or Projects, in viewing gaps from a helicopter view and sharing potential improvement opportunities. It made me travel the globe from Moscow to Miri and I spent 60% of my time away from home. During this assignment I had a drive to always move back in Quality and Project Assurance and when that opportunity arrived, I accepted the job as Lead Quality Auditor in Upstream Asia based in Miri.
