The icon/favicon to insert should be an english guardsman's head or upper body with rifle. Keep it simple, clean, neat and keep it ethnically neutral. Probably the easiest way to achieve race neutrality is to make the icon an outline (black and white, like the Airbnb logo in the attached image) so there's no skin color at all.
It would be great if you could make it slightly playful, cute, funny.
