The forest seems like the perfect place to escape from his pain and confusion. Just for a little while, he can pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist. In one way or another, every single person he had ever opened up to had let him down, used him, manipulated him and left him feeling less than human. He did not understand these people who were apparently of the same species as him. The thought of enduring the rest of his time among these people filled him with despair.
A flash of colour distracts him from his thoughts and he almost smiles as he watches her flit around amongst the ground cover. He cant help but follow this delicate beauty on her flight through the trees. It isn't long before he is deep in the forest with no idea how to get back. It wast such a bad thought at first but he was hungry and had no food with him.
Sitting down to rest on a smooth rock nestled between some massive old pine trees, he contemplates the situation. He will attempt to retrace his path, but for now he wants to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding him. It was peaceful, and best of all, there wasn’t another human to be found.
The fox finishes cleaning her coat with her tongue and stretches her lean body. She is a gorgeous animal and she knows it. Soft white fluff in her ears, shiny black nose and eyes set in golden fur, hers is a sweet little face. She moves with elegant perfection through the forest that has always been her home.
