This expat Canadian has SCREENWRITER as the first word in my profile.
I have a lifetime in TV & North American Feature Film work. I've just finished a TV series action/thriller pilot I'm shopping. Here's the logline. "A man with a tragic past abandons his successful business smuggling illegals from Paris to London and with his transgendered partner, plans a mission to murder the 'Enfield' prisoner, who tore his life apart.
Check out my portfolio tab samples. #4 & 5, the BBC TV teaser, #6 Chasing Dreams, a F.F. script I'm marketing, and #7, my Movie Profile, with some of the Hollywood films I've worked on. (I have lots)I understand the biz financially, (production manager/producer) creatively, (TV Director/writer/Screenwriter) and technically. (Property Master, Assistant Set Decorator, Lighting Director/Shooter)
I use Fade In for my writing template. We need to use industry standard formatting, craft a logline, a beat sheet/bible, and the 3-4 page pilot 'Teaser.' (like my Klarky 1&2). As a student of the process, I have lots of 'how to' information I can share. I will craft a 1st and 2nd draft.
Here's what my BBC contact had to say. "Wow, I'm impressed. Actually, some of the new action made the hair on my neck stand on end." (UK TV pilot script)
239 pages is long for a1.5 hr. movie. My pilot has bar scenes, a transgendered side-kick, adventure, drama & shot in France & Great Britain. Like yours, it's based on a published novel.
