Tableau Developer (Full Time Temporary Contract)

We are currently developing a data visualization and data analytics based product and we are putting together a team with significant experience with Tableau to create amazing data visualizations from complex data. The candidate for the temporary contract Tableau Developer position will work alongside data owners to learn about source data and how to integrate data into Tableau to serve reporting requirements. In this position, you can expect to work on a diverse team composed of people with various data-oriented skills. Key Responsibilities -Work with our client through the development process -Examine source data and generate queries to bring data into Tableau -Create, assess, analyze, and install novel Tableau dashboards -Develop metrics for report development, testing, and access management Required Skills -BS or equivalent experience. -3-5 years' experience in Tableau. -3+ years' experience in building dynamically connected dashboards. -3+ years of experience in business intelligence and reporting development. -Experience with BI dashboard tools from Tableau and Qlik. -Ability to work and communicate with both the business and technical experts. -Current experience with major industries in building line of business dashboards. -Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, like Oracle or SQL Serve -Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines -Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes -Keen understanding of financial control and budget management -Knowledge of data warehouse/data mart solutions, including experience with Business Objects. -Must have strong database query/analysis skills. -Must be able to work closely with business users to understand analytical/reporting needs and identify solutions -Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals -Self-starter mentality and ambition to move forward on projects independently -Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, clear and effectively Desired Skills -Familiarity with visual design concepts for executive dashboards is a strong plus. -Exposure to Identity and Access Management or information security-related data -Aptitude in a common analytics programming language such as Python or R
