I want to know the annualised growth rate for an investment where I know the amount invested, the total amount of money into and out of the investment during the term and the final value. I then wish the rate to be automatically updated when I update the final investment value for the period since inception to today's date. So for example, an investment starts on 1st Jan 1990 with a starting value of £100,000. Between then and today, £14,500 was taken out and £71,000 was put in so net additional contributions of £56,000. Today it's valued at £314,000. Then in 6 months time, I'd like to be able to update the final value field and the answer field will automatically update to reflect the new growth rate taking into account a further 6 months has elapsed.
