We need you to research event data for a travel web site.

You will be given a list of 20 destinations. ( For example: Las Vegas, Nevada or Paris, France )

For each destination you will research 5 events for which someone might travel to that destination. This will be a total of 100 events.

For each destination you will be given:

a. a destination name ( Edmonton, Canada )

b. a numerical destination id ( 12345 )

You will find 5 events with the following information:

a. The name of the event ( Edmonton International Jazz Festival )

b. The name of the organizer of the event ( Edmonton Jazz Festival Society )

c. A URL for the event ( [login to view URL] )

d. A short description* of the event, 100-200 characters. ( The Edmonton Jazz Festival brings music from around the world and is a 10-day celebration of top local, national and international jazz talents. )

e. A start date ( 6/24/2011 )

f. an end date ( 7/3/2011 )

g. latitude and longitude of the location (53.543564, -113.490452)

h. address of the event (10526 Jasper Avenue Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5J 1Z7)

Single day events will have the same start and end date.

* The description can be informed by what you read on the event organizers web site, but must be your original writing, and cannot be something copied exactly from any other source.

We will provide you with a tool to generate the latitude and longitude from an address.

For each destination we are looking for the top 5 most important cultural events: festivals, sporting events, concerts etc. They should be events that are interesting to someone who is traveling to that destination.

Each event will be subject to review by our editors.

Event data will be submitted to us using a Google documents spreadsheet, or by emailing us a completed excel spreadsheet.

We will be assigning these projects over the next 3 months in blocks of 100 events until we have researched a total of 3000 events.

We are interested in contractors who can produce high quality data quickly. We will prefer contractors with good quality work. Contractors who have performed well on previous blocks of events will get priority for event assignments.
