Backup program

Design and implement a Windows data backup software that contains two basic features: Feature 1) Data backup. This means that our team designs and implements using Borland Delphi a standalone Windows application and GUI that allows user to select a set of files, for example the My Documents folder, and/or the files from the Desktop and/or the entire c:\Windows structure. These files are then copied to a given USB disk drive that is exclusive to this software (i.e. we can use the USB disk any way we want). Feature 2) Data restore. This is the tricky part. The Windows GUI application of feature 1 must be able to make the given backup USB disk bootable (this functionality must be provided by you), when booted from the USB disk the system is started to a small Operating System saved to the USB backup disk, e.g. some free DOS clone or some Linux. It's up to you to choose the best fit. After the OS has loaded, the user is given a simple list of all the backups found from the USB disk drive an option to restore one of them. For this, the small OS must be able to write to both FAT32 and NTFS disks. This job requires very little amount of actual coding from your part, but should you need to code anything, all code you develop should be done with C, C++ or with Borland Delphi. Feel free to suggest any third party components that we could use with this project. This backup feature would be included to a commercial, closed source application so make sure your solution doesn't violate any open source licenses. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows
