Cold Fusion Project

I purchased a company that had a production management system (called is RMS) that was custom built using Cold Fusion... it manages the materials for our Print Magazines including collection of customer material, proofing, approval, rejections, workflow, production of indexing etc. The system was built over 10 years ago and no one with the company knows anything about it. My IT guy has the limited ability to manage users but will not dive into the changes that I need. What are the changes you ask? Well if I knew how the system worked I could answer the question better... right now I am running 3 server that I think 2 are used with this system. I also have a hosted server so I think it’s really using 3 servers. I need to consolidate these to a single purpose server and consider if this project can be built better with today's technologies. I would love to make some small changes as detailed below. 1. modify a report / Insertion order that is generated from the system, I changed the terms and conditions and a couple of other things.... this should be a report somewhere that should be able to be modified. 2. Remove years of past history, previous magazine titles, and the associated data that is useless. 3. Make some corrections to reports. If I could make these simple (I say simple in all ignorance) changes I could get by with the system as it is for a while. Then I’m back to the question, of why do I need to use so many servers. Could one hosted server do the trick? And in this day age can I do the same thing another way that is more user friendly for my employees and customers? I am looking for an experienced developer to remote in to my system/servers and take a look at what I have, and tell me what you can do for me. I need professional assistance. These servers are running windows server 2003.
