Pages are to be written in cold fusion language. Our current website currently have some of the functionality below such as the shopping cart and order history etc. We are looking to get a fresh look for our site with some additional functionalities. Here is a summary.
Create website with design elements similar to that of Geico.com.
Include search bar on homepage
Link search bar to paid Web service/API for bibliographic book title information.
Allow users to view bestsellers title list along with images, title, ISBN and price on scroll window on home page.
Allow users to search API/ Web service for ISBN, Title, Author, subject
Format returned search results in XML to search results page along with title image, title name, author, price, brief description and stock count.
Allow users to click on title to view more information including title image, title name, description, price etc.
Include search categories on results page and allow users to click to narrow search or obtain more titles.
Include stock availability info from Web service/API on results page
Allow users to add to cart, update cart
Allow users to view cart and edit cart.
Allow users to checkout and place order referencing a purchase order (no credit card processing) after creating account.
Create order history page, allow users to cancel order, check status
Allow users to create account before checkout.
May need other functions at a later date.
