Web Site for licensed construction contractors to register their company along with basic profile information. The system will consist of home page where you can type in a license number, the name of contracotor, or the name of the owner and it will return the exact record or closest match. If no match is found, a message/screen will pop up stating that this contract is not registered etc. When an exact match is found for a contractor (i.e. the license number which is unique), then a profile page will be display showing about 20 or 30 different fields of information (name, address, phone, services offered, etc). Graphics, presentation, and logos are a critical part of the project. Must be very clean, professional, and official looking. Besides the primary listing portion of the site, the other major component will be a subscription registration/magagment system. Each contractor will have to sign up for a paid listing which will be an annual fee. Payment methods will be paypal, credit card, or an option to mail in a check. The registration system must have the ability to manage subscribers....renewals, email notifications sent out to alert to expiration, global email list cability to communiate to the subscriber base, and support various types of offer/coupon codes that will provide either a discount to the subscritpion or some number of free months. Of course the registration system must have password managment system to support the users. The system must be scaleable to support hundreds of thousands of potential registrations. The fields of information will include some simple fields, and others that are more complex with look ups from other sites etc. Within in the profile of a contractor, there will be fileds that are actually links to another site that will either draw in information, or open another window. THe site must be fully SEO optimized, and follow all know conventions to make this happen. I will also need reasonable documentation that shows development and implementation so if needed , another person could clearly understand how the system was built. Technologies used must be industry standard, scaleable, and non-proprietary. Logo, graphics, look, feel are part of what i Need done. The fully developed system wil be my property upon final payment. Misc items: site will need to support banner ads at some point, more complex searches (service type, radius based searches, license type, etc). License # formats also vary by state, so we will have to addres this also.
There will be the primary site and a supporting site. The supporting site will be something like "register now" that has a simple home page that links directly to the registration portion of the main site. Think of the supporting site as a landing page.
I need a quality company that is very comfortable in doing this. In addition, there has to be flexability in the relationship in that I don't have a full detailed specification written out, but I do have a pretty clear idea of what I need. The system must be delivered in a fully functioning form, fully test and implemented, and full support on an ongoing basis. There has to be reasonable adjustment period when the system is deployed that includes fixing, correcting, and adjusting as needed.
