Dev Ed project footage needed

We are an Irish Charity and are developing a Development Education project which focuses on different countries for each age group and would like to use a story about the life of an Indian child for Irish schoolchildren aged between 10 and 12. As part of this programme we will show themes such as living conditions, education and leisure time. We want to enhance people’s knowledge about global justice issues around the world. We believe that by making comparisons and connections with Irish families, and with Irish children especially it will increase public engagement and hopefully lead to increased sponsorship. We would like help in organizing an education resource that will include quick facts flash cards for teachers and story-telling for children. In order to create this education resource, we need a photographer/videographer based in India to take video footage or a set of photographs of a child in a sponsorship programme, the specifics of which are outlined below. • Compulsory requirement for use of image: To be part of the campaign, the photographer must ensure that they get written permission from the subject/s of each photo, permitting us to use the images for our campaign. All images will be used only by our charity in Ireland. • Set of photographs: Deadline 1st April 2014 We want to communicate in both an educational and friendly way with Irish children and teachers. To achieve this, we need to create simple and interesting material which will highlight the message we are trying to spread. The quality and types of image will determine our audience’s first impressions of our charity, which is why it is so important that we work together and gather the best images and stories possible. We are asking the photographer to take a set of photographs of children according to the follow criteria and scenarios: 1) The country should choose one or two children that are expected to be enrolled in a sponsorship programme for at least the next 4 years. This is justified by the fact that we may ask you for updates on the child. 2) You should select children between the ages of 10-12 years. 3) The country must follow the requirement for use of image mentioned above. 4) The photograph should be Landscape, ie taken horizontally NOT Portrait /vertical The photos should represent real life, they should not be staged. They should convey a positive message of our work and impact. We will be creating a story based on these images, focusing this year on living conditions, education and leisure time. We would like the photographer to take as many photographs as possible around these areas. Please find below some guidelines for the images: The photos need to be of good quality taken with a digital camera / min 12 million megapixels ; video footage should include clear sound and the lighting should be carefully monitored Gathering the photographs will allow us to begin making storyboards and lesson plans and start delivering them to schools in Ireland. The next phase will involve gathering objects that the children can use in class which can be toys, tools, crafts and anything else that might help them understand more about life in India for the children you choose to photograph. We will be in touch about gathering a selection of these objects in due course. Any costs involved, following our normal procurement procedures, will be covered by our organisation but we would be grateful if you would give us an indication of the likely costs involved for producing still photographs and for video footage. We hope to get this underway as soon as possible.
