The goal is to create a Windows based driver for a USB pedometer, that retrieves data from the device, and stores them in an online storage. Specifications of the USB communication protocol will be provided, as well as the API (XML based) to store data on the online server. The driver must be designed for being portable, with clear separation of the communication with the device (device layer) and the communication with the storage (storage layer). This is a single test project, but the long term goal is to create a flexible module to connect several devices to the same storage, by changing only the USB driver layer. Device samples will be provided for development purpose.
