Hi, this project is a proof of concept project. I want to see if my idea is possible. Step 1: User select a PNG file from a thumnail galery that show all png files from Folder A The pngs will have a transparent background. Step 2: User select a JPG file from a thumnail galery that show all jpg files from Folder B Step 3: The jpg is in the background and defines the filesize of the final image. The png is placed in the center of the jpg and is proportional reduced in with/height to match the background jpg size. Step 4: User can change position, size and rotation of the png foreground file. He can also move part of the png outside the "working area". Step 5: If the user hit save, a new jpg is created with the original png-filename + timestamp.jpg. This file is saved in Folder C. Questions: Feel free to ask:) The "programm" should be able to run in a webbrowser or as a standalone Windows application. Do not use frameworks that can not be used for commercial work that is intendet to be sold later.

I'm thinking that I will develop your application in C# as a standalone windows application. Unless you have a specific UI design in mind, I will create something with a minimalistic design. I have one question about the job: Do you plan to place smaller (possible more than one) PNG images on top of the JPG, or do you want one single PNG on top of the JPG background? I just recently signed up for freelancer, so I would be incredibly grateful if you chose me, despite my lack of experience on this site.

This is absolutely possible using any modern programming language and I would like to suggest you to use Java based technologies due to the fact that you need to run this on a browser as well. To be able to run such application on a web browser you need the JAVA run time environment and JVM for your browser. If that is excusable then I implement this within several days. Hello, i have worked with image manipulation in the simple menner, and have already an idea how it can work. For such kind of manipulation is the Qt Framework just perfect. I work with Qt Framework already about 12 years . Qt has LGPL licensing so it fits you needs. It is also cross-platform Framework so I can compile app for Windows, OSX and Linux. Hello, I'm a C++/Qt developer primarily. The project you described can be done with ease with Qt framework and later ported on all available platforms. I would be able to make a png to overlay jpg and save the result today, however the gui for moving around the png will probably take a little more, an extra day. If you insist on .NET/C#, not a problem as well.
