Based on your description, I think it's possible you may not need to adjust your AdWords or Google Analytics codes at all. Just some free advice: What you might be looking for is the search query report. Available in both AdWords and Google Analytics, this report shows you the exact queries that triggered your keywords and includes conversion data. I have eight years of experience managing AdWords campaigns and have never needed to adjust the code to get the right keyword data. If the query report doesn't solve you problem it is likely you are having another issue, like a match type problem, which could cause conversions to end up on unexpected keywords.
