Advice on Case Study Analysis
The aim of case study analysis is to test your ability to analyse organisations in strategic management terms, apply your knowledge of strategic HRM theories and relate your analysis to the case. Key to this is identifying the core strategic issues, which impinge upon the successful management of these organisations.
Please note:
Extensive use of references is not required in case study analyses; however, you are advised to draw on factual information, examples and evidence from the literature to help defend your point of view.
References need to be cited in the text of your discussion, and listed at the end, using the stop Chicago Author – date referencing style.
Footnotes/endnotes are not accepted. In addition, lengthy direct citations and quotations are not permitted in case study analysis.
The university policy on plagiarism, as stated in the University Handbook, will apply.
