Database, Logic and Web-services Creation + Integration

Hello, I'm using Python daily for most of my programming needs. I have developed websites using Django and more recently Tornado. Regarding databases I have worked with MySQL but switched to PostgreSQL a few years ago and I have been very happy with the move. I also have experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB. I have been using Linux for over 5 years; I'm currently using ArchLinux on my notebook and Debian on some servers that I manage. If I understand correctly you plan to build a service that aggregates data from Factual and Google Places and caches the results in the database. Do you plan to also use a dedicated caching solution (like Redis or memcached) or only the database (which in this case would actually be more like a persistent cache). I noticed that the solution will run on AWS. If you don't use some of AWS' more advanced features may I suggest DigitalOcean? I migrated about six months ago and it offers about twice the performance at half the price for my particular workload. Thank you for your time! Best wishes, Ionut
