What I need should be fairly simple, as I had it finished before they upgraded AWS a couple of years back. Sadly, that code no longer works and I'm having problems with their new version, so I need a replacement. What your script should do is the following: 1) The script is sent a keyword - for simplicity, let's say we're calling it like: queryAmazon("Star Wars"); ...where "Star Wars" is obviously the search query. 2) The script checks our database to see if this is already there and when it was added. If the cache time is less than 24 hours old, grab the info for each item and skip #3. 3) If we're at this point, there's either nothing in the database for this query or the cache has expired. Delete the old info if applicable. The script searches Amazon's DVD section for "Star Wars" (it will always be DVD, no need for options for music or anything else), returns 10 results (their default), and inserts the following info into our database for each product: a) Product Title - Star Wars Trilogy (Widescreen Edition with Bonus Disc) b) ASIN - B00003CXCT b) List Price - $69.98 c) Amazon Price - $50.49 d) Used Price - $32.98 e) Availability - Does Amazon have this item in stock? Note that this is specifically for Amazon's stock and doesn't factor used offers. f) Cache time - The date/time this was added to the database. 4) Return #2 or #3 depending on the cache time. -------------- You will need an Amazon subscription ID to interact with their content, and you can get one for free here: [login to view URL] I have one of my own, but obviously, I don't want to put it in a public forum. You can replace your ID with XXXXXXXXX when sending me the completed code.
