Input to the program is a comma separated textfile with r rows of data and c columns. You can assume that each row contains c-1 commas (so there may be missing values, but no missing commas). All data are floats. Take the following example: rxc = 3x5 2,8.3,300,1200,20 33,12 ,400,1.9,12.99 1,2,3,4,5 I want to convert this to a text file that consists of as many rows as there are possibilities to take 2 rows from the total r (so the text file will have "r over 2" rows). In our example that equals 3. Each row shows the data of the two cases behind each other, comma separated: 2,8.3,300,1200,20 , 33,12 ,400,1.9,12.99 2,8.3,300,1200,20 , 1,2,3,4,5 33,12 ,400,1.9,12.99 , 1,2,3,4,5 I need to be able to do this for rxc sizes of about 500x20, and it has to be _fast_. In addition, the first row of the input text file contains the names of the columns: a, b, c, d, e The output text file should have a first row containing the names a1, ..., e1, a2, ... , e2
