create master>detail page for website using LAMP stack

I am developing an ecommerce website for my own small business and working on a small budget. I am using dreamweaver cs6 and cc. I am using webassist ecart 5 as my shopping cart. I have tried in dreamweaver, using the standard tools and extensions available, to create a master and detail page set, to display my products and to show product details. My pages basically work. But they don't do exactly what i want them to do. I want the Master page 'results' to be sortable by name, date and price. (all mySQL table fields). I also want the user to be able to select how many records are displayed on the master page - ie: we have 1000 products. Want user to be able to show 20, 40, 100, 500 or all records on the page. I require recordset paging, so user can move through these pages. Detail page - when user clicks on item on master page, i want the item to show on the detail page. But i also want the user to be able to click a next/previous button, to move through the detail page recordset. I will be using ecart 5 on this page to add the item to a shopping cart. I want a 'back to master page' button, to take user back to the master page, to the page that current product is displayed on. I am using an extension for pagination called dmxzone paginator PHP, which i like for the ability to style the output. I am using and extension 'Horizontal Vertical Looper' for creating repeat region on page. (the looper might be part of my problem). I am trying to acheive this with only one master and one detail page. I can see how i could create more pages and just change recordset sort order. But if possible, to save me time, i'd like it done dynamically, using one master, one detail page. I don't need any 'design' work done on the page. I just need the coding part handled. I need it to work with dreamweaver. But I don't mind copying and pasting lines of code, rather than using the dreamweaver recordset functionality, if this is essential. I hope this is acheiveable. And if not, I am happy to pay for advice. Look forward to hearing what the community can bring to my project.
