Hello Coders, We are looking for an experience MAC and Python coder to help us create a daemonized folder watcher. Please see the attachment for our progress so far. Please only bid if you have a MAC. We have a module which listens on a folder for changes and calls a callback method on file update. We are using FSEvents to trap the change event and do the required processing. The problem is that this module is expected to run in a separate thread in apps which will be running as a background daemon and FSEvents does not seem to behave properly on a daemon thread. Issues might be related to: [login to view URL] but we are not sure. The method to run the Daemon is similar to: [login to view URL] We need a correct implementation of FolderWatcher using FSEvents or some better system level module on Mac OS X to notify the calling app when a file is create/updated in a folder. In the meantime we are using polling - but we do not want this as a permanent solution. With your bid, please let me know how long it will take to complete this, in terms of days form your bid, as well as how many hours you think it might take. Thanks for your bids. -tad.
