Correct Order Process

Following a change to Ajax order the tax is no longer appearing in the Basket Total in the order summary box.
The order total passed to the payment module also no longer includes the tax.
Requirement:
To correct purchase process so the order total shown in the basket and passed to the card processor is correct.
To ensure the order information recorded in the db reflects correct totals.
Please quote the word "ajax" in any response.
