Database Task 3

* This is for work on an ADULT based website. If you are offended by adult material, please do not bid. We have an Adult Dating Site. We are seeking a script that will show thousands of profiles in the users location. Our site has several thousand "filler" profiles that can be used for this. ALL profiles on our site have this: Country State City Zip Lat/Long IP Address I believe we need a geo database in order to calculate distance and locate cities WITHIN X MILES from user? For Registered members, we can use sign up info. For Visitors we can use IP detection. We need you to provide a solution to show "hundreds" or "thousands" of filler profiles in their same city, and cities around them. ## Deliverables I would assume you will just "clone" (not duplicate) profiles, and allow say 1 profile to appear in several different locations? (but of course, we dont want the same profile to appear more than once, too closely to adjoining city) So, the only thing that changes on a profile are the [location] fields? So, say Michael from Orlando,FL logs into the site, he sees "Tanya9282", and she appears to be from his city - Orlando, FL. Then Andrew from Dallas,TX logs in, he also sees "Tanya9282" but, for him, she appears to be from Dallas,TX. And, how would you do this in each of these areas on our site? ================= HOME SEARCH This is on the OUTSIDE of website (non-registered or not-logged-in) users only. For public use only. ================= BASIC SEARCH User can choose HIS location, or any other location. This search radius is FIXED to 200 mile radius. (this radius can be changed if needed). ================= ADVANCED SEARCH There are 3 radio options: 1. User can search (x miles radius) within his registered location. 2. User can search (x miles radius) within ANY location. 3. User can search (x miles radius) within zip code entered. ================= NEW MEMBERS NEAR YOU This section displays a list of member thumbnails, displayed on the (logged-in) home page. User must be registered to see this. This shows profiles closest to the member in the orientation they are seeking. ================= ONLINE NOW This shows a random list of members (from any location) that are "online now". ================= USERNAME SEARCH At this time our site allows a member to search by Username. Will the cloned profiles have the same username? ie: If user changes his registration info, etc. (however, i dont assume too many members will change their registration info) Would say... "Tanya3938" always appear from (the city) based on his registration info? Or, should we just REMOVE the Username search tool? ================= VIDEOS What about Videos? Videos are attached to profiles. Do we make also these profiles to appear from his city and cities surrounding him? ================= IP vs Registration Info = Will we be using....
