Project Description for Web Developers
We require a new web site for our business and we are looking for a competent developer who shows both a good attitude and aptitude for the kind of site we want. Most important to us is that with our web site, our customers can not only choose our products but can personalise them too.
Ideally we are looking for our ordering process to be combined to an e-payment gateway, such as SagePay, and any developer who can show a knowledge of doing this will be favoured over others.
As a first step in creating a site we are looking for a developer to build an online solution for the ordering process that takes place in our shop. This is very important to us and we want the core functionalities regarding the ordering process to be built and tested before the look of the site is created. We have outlined below the initial pages and their core functionalities that we want.

Creation of a product database with necessary information for each product including options for personalisation of the product
eg id, product code, product name, product image, ([product sizes],[product prices]), [personalisation options]
The solution we have in mind is a html/php form that can add,delete and modify a SQL database with our product information.

Create an online order form specific to the product and customer (use of php session variables).
This order form contains required and optional order fields (based on product database).
- customer chooses from a selection of materials
- customer chooses from a selection of sizes
- customer chooses personalisation of product (including an image upload option)
Calculate price of order dependent on product and options selected

The customers order is put into a form document, eg html, before it is emailed to the shop. (use of relevant php session variables).
Orders are both saved to a database and emailed to the shop were the product will be made and collected.

Creation of a member database.
