We have created Java code that creates a cookie with an expiration period (User definable). That code is located in the top of the “[login to view URL]? page. The cookie created by this code (registration page) gets called {uid}[login to view URL] (See Example).
We put the code in certain web pages to read that cookie which can be found in “[login to view URL]?. That code checks for the cookie. If it exists, then it allows them to continue to the page they requested. If the cookie does not exist, the page redirects the user to the registration page where a new cookie will be created once they answer the 7 questions.
There is also the [login to view URL] file which verifies the fields are filled out correctly and actually houses the “ReadCookie?? code.
The problem is that when initially visiting the site (just going to the home page) a cookie is created call {uid}[login to view URL] which is not the correct cookie (See Example). The [login to view URL] applet then reads the wrong cookie and assumes they have filled out the registration page.
