Consultation on how to make a Shopping Website

I need a knowledgeable person to evaluate and give a little direction to an idea I have. What I want to create is a shopping website that acts as a personal shopper. It would be a membership website that would have a user answer questions that deal with key aspects of clothing (e.g. color preferences, cut preferences etc.). From the answers to these questions I want the website to essentially conduct a search over a large number of clothing websites and find matches from the users preferences. The website would also conduct refreshed searches to make sure the matches are up to date. I know that creating something like this will not be easy; however, I would like it if someone could give me a little direction as to what I would need to do(from a technological perspective) to make something like this a reality
