Hello everyone, I have installed Adempiere and uploaded our COA and require some customization work on it to extend the functionality of the following
1. Purchase Orders Cost center – AKA expenses distribution
The basic function in Adempiere allows for item purchases to either go to a store as inventory or to be expensed to a preset account in the “Product – Accounting” which is limiting to our operation because we want to be able to allocate a certain item in a purchase to a specific costing code.
Our suggestion is to make use of the currently available “project – phase – task” structure to allocate the purchase line items.
* Move the “project” field into the line item detail form of the purchase order
* copy the same “project – phase – task” into all following forms for “material receipt” and “invoicing” and be able to get financial accounting reports grouped by them
* introduce a radio button or some other option to differentiate between purchases to “warehouses” and to “cost center”
2. Same as above for profit center and sales cycle
3. Post dated cheques
4. interfacing with Opera PMS (property management system)
ie: import daily records of room and restaurant revenue with some tags

your project sounds very interesting.
Points 1) and 2) are quite easy to implement. ADempiere with it's Application Dictionary allows such customizations to be done very easily. Of course a bit of coding will be required but i can assure you that ADempiere already has very good foundation.
On point 3) I will need more information.
Point 4) integration with Opera PMS. I have experience with Integration between ADempiere and external systems. It is not hard task, but require good knowledge of both applications.
