**Algebraic Factor Generator**

Brief:

A simple application (possibly based on flash or exe) that will break down any **single** **algebraic term** (or number) into **ALL** its factors.? Simple user interface, but clear visually stimulating output.? The application has to be downloaded from a website and run on a PC.

User types in 16x2y3? (So from the keyboard user will type 16x^2y^3)

Output Result:

Shows original term? 16x2y3? (in this form)

Then lists the factors of the term

1.16.x.x.y.y.y

2.8.x.x.y.y.y

4.4.x.x.y.y.y

(note: the “.?? represents a multiply)

## Deliverables

**Output display**: The output has to be visually pleasing and simple.? The software will be used by teachers in class, using an interactive whiteboard, or projector or from their PC.

**Colour Schemes:** Will advice on colour schemes for text and provide background graphics with company logo on acceptance of the project.? Want things kept really simple so the end user intuitively knows what to do.

**Time Frame**: 1 month
