This should be an extremely quick and easy project for the right person!
I need conversion tracking code that I will then add to my landing pages and my "Order Confirmation" in my shopping cart. The way the system works is that customers come into my site via banner and CPC links on other sites. There's a referral code in the URL, so I know where they come from. At that point, I want to cookie the user. Then later (this is the harder part), I want to capture the cookie when the sale completes. The trick, though, is that I'm using an ASP shopping cart, so the "Order Confirmation" page is not on my site. When I customer lands on the "Order Confirmation" page on the other site, a script needs to run that will call my site (usually via either JavaScript include files or via URL call in an <img> tag, and kick off a routine that will fetch the cookie. I've spent hours on this, and cannot figure out a way to get the script on my server to pick up the cookie. I think the main problem I'm having is that the incoming request, sent via the src attribute in an <img> tag, is coming in as if it's coming from the shopping cart, not the customer, and of course the cookie is not on the shopping cart's server. I'm open to any way of getting this to work!
All I need is the workign code on both ends. I can put it all in place and hook it up.
I need this yesterday, so please only bid if you can turn this around in a matter of hours. Really, I would like someone who already has this code in their personal library.
