Choose Profile Photo(Avatar) from a Gallery

I have a site running on phpbb2

Currently there is photo gallery

and profile photo (avatar).

*These are two separate systems*

**What I Want Done**

I would like to allow user to choose a photo from their gallery

If user loads only one photo to their gallery, it will auto default as profile photo.

If user does not crop photo, and leaves page before cropping, the photo they chose will be auto cropped from the
