I am working on a redesign of a site and am trying to use CSS for everything. I have a header and a footer and between them is a two-column layout with the nav in the left column that is the basis for each page. The content in some pages is much more than others and I want the middle part of the page to expand accordingly depending on how much content there is. What I am doing now is creating multiple DIV tags for the nav and main sections of the page, specifying a different "height" to accomodate the different lengths of content. I don't want to do it this way. I want to have one DIV tag that will automatically expand when needed because it's tedious the way I'm doing it and because of the difference between Mac and PC browser support for CSS it's not quite working anyway. Here is the main page: [login to view URL] the stylesheet is here: [login to view URL] the problem occurs on these pages: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] My inspiration for this css design came from this csszengarden page: [login to view URL] (it's the design called "simple") The way the csszengarden page works is that each part of the design will expand if more content is added (I downloaded the page and its stylesheet and tested it) I have been trying to figure it out myself but I am getting married in a few weeks and am finding it hard to concentrate! If anyone can help me I will be so grateful.
